The PMO utilizes the Berkeley Lab Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to promote optimal planning, accurate reporting, and effective controls through the standardization of processes used in project scope, schedule, and budget management.
Projects tracked by the PMO use EVMS to measure project progress and LBNL rigorously maintains a DOE-certified EVMS to ensure eligibility for future projects. This includes administering an EVM training regimen for specific project team members when Berkeley Lab is the lead on a DOE Order 413.3B project (above $50M in total project costs).
